Colombia Tech Week 2025: Positioning the Country as a Regional Tech Hub

 


Colombia Tech Week 2025 is one of the most anticipated technology events in Latin America. Scheduled to take place between August 18 and August 30 in Bogotá and Medellín, this event will bring together key players from the global innovation ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors, academics, developers, and policymakers.

The event is organized around themes such as artificial intelligence, fintech, health tech, green technology, blockchain, and digital transformation. Attendees will experience more than 200 activities, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, startup demo days, investor pitch rounds, and networking meetups. International experts from Silicon Valley, Europe, and Asia will also attend to share best practices and global tech trends.

With more than 15,000 participants expected, Colombia Tech Week seeks to create a robust environment for startup growth, foreign investment attraction, and business matchmaking. The cities of Bogotá and Medellín are playing a leading role, highlighting their growing reputation as smart, innovative, and entrepreneur-friendly urban hubs. This event will not only boost visibility for local entrepreneurs but also open new doors for global partnerships and cutting-edge research collaboration.

  Rhinos went extinct in Uganda in the 1980s, but in 2006, six rhinos were reintroduced to Ziwa ranch, a former cattle farm in the center of the country. These have now multiplied to 48.
